South GI Bridge Looking North

Tonawanda, NY

This morning, Ben and I got out early to get the morning light on the Grand Island Bridge. Ben's Photography 210 assignment was Sequential and Multiple images as part of the Whole. I think he nailed it pretty well (see Ben's Gallery at http://www.pbase.com/bdnieman/multiple_and_sequential_images ). I was along just to shoot what ever I felt like and to buy breakfast. I only took a couple digital images but I filled three rolls of film that are being processed. Out of the couple digital images, I think this one caught the morning sun on the bridge fairly well.

Anyone who has driven to Niagara Falls from the Western New York / Buffalo region has probably traversed the Niagara River on this bridge. There are other routes, but I would think this to be one of the most traveled.

Great shot !! ....... are the platforms for painting ? ... I bet it's one of those constructions which by the time the job is done, it's time to start again with a fresh coat !
