Jack pulled up as I was on the bridge. A fellow recumbent rider on his RANS Stratus. We talked about riding and our bikes and the people we knew in common. It is interesting how having one thing in common with some one else means you are no longer a stranger. I had never met Jack before, we talked for about 20 minutes.

He teaches rowing at West Side Rowing Club, likes to run and enjoys kayaking. His daughter bought him a cellphone for use when he is riding his bike. He never used a cell phone before, but carries it now as his daughter requested.
