Mar 23, 2005

This was my neighbor's yard at about 7:10 this morning. Brownish green grass just coming out from beneath the quilt of winter snow.

As I drove in the yard tonight. This same lawn (and mine) was snuggled beneath a new lovely white comforter of about 2" (5 cm) of wet snow.

Our grass is so green from all the rain we've had that it looks like Portland here! Certainly not the golden wheat color that it usually is.

Ah.. the ebb and flow of snow going and coming in the spring !! I sure miss it ;o)

The white boards and shutters are for me, the epitome of American Charm - lovely scene Don.

Our snow is all gone and spring has sprung. Now need to mow the lawn !

We got you beat here in the southtowns! The skiers are sure painted "Happy" Me, the only green I see is myself, green with envy of anyone who is basking in warm south, I could do without their tornado's though. :-)

I like your framing. Very effective shot.

I saw this and thought you must live in South Buffalo to have such a green lawn. Now I won't feel bad when it snows here this weekend. It was a nice choice to include the tree in there. It adds a lot of depth to the scene.

The snow is falling here too but spring has begun and the Easter Bunny is coming... maybe he should wear snow shoes. This picture makes me feel as if I'm peeking out from behind the tree... nice shot.

Nicely done... and you well know that spring always comes to Buffalo LAST!

Nicely framed shot. Don't worry, it will be hot soon enough.
