There is a lot of history behind this old malt house.
Buffalo, because of its strategical location on the great lakes, used to be a city of grain storage elevators and flour mills.
This is a shot of a part of the old Buffalo Malting Company on Elk Street in the old 1st Ward of Buffalo.

I had no idea there was this much interest in Buffalo Malting. I took photos because it was something I remembered due my family's involvement.
Almost all of the piping, old dust collectors, and conveyors in this building were fabricated and installed by my father and brother. They owned/own an industrial sheet metal fabrication company and for years some of their largest customers were these old grain elevators and flour mills around Buffalo.
Many, like this one, long since closed.
