I can't say that I'm a fan of his work (what I've seen of it, which admittedly isn't much) but I'm a fan of this shot. You have the exposure just right; no blow outs, no shadow, and a good representation of his skin tone but more importantly you've caught his expression at just the right moment; the hint of a smile, and some kind of interaction seeming to happen with the audience off stage.
