A group from Pathways Church in East Aurora, NY is heading down to Gulfport MS to participate in a Hurricane Katrina relief program.

I am traveling along to watch them work and snap a few pictures of them doing that (working, that is).

Thanks Don, To you and to all the many, many thousands of wonderful volunteers who have worked so hard, so long and so untiringly asssisting Katrina Victims along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and neighboring communities. We truly appreciate your kindnesses and all you have done for us, without your help we could have never survived on our own. You have been a blessing to us and we wish you God's Blessings in return, thanks too for sharing your experiences through these photos, we hope you enjoyed your stay on the coast, next time we'll try to do better with our housekeeping? I love the pictures of the floors. It is a bit sad to think of all the family things that took place on each floor, and to see the result of the hurricane. I am glad to see what our volunteers are doing to help restore the families to their many homes. Kudos to you all. Thanks for the pictures and blog.

The pictures are great! It brings back familiar scenes of the Gulf Coast. How it has changed from the last time I was there in the spring. We are keeping the whole team in our prayers for safety and strength to complete the task given you.

Don, Thank you so much for these daily postings. I actually wished that I could have mounted a head-cam on Joel before he left so that I could see what he sees. This is the next best thing. Sitting home worrying (a parent's imagination can be vivid) is almost as hard as going down there and doing the work. Your pictures give me a sense of place and a feeling that Joel and our friends are safe. Thank-you, Paul Murphy
