I'm trying to contact you to ask permission to use footage of a Midget Faded Rattlesnake you posted on YouTube in an educational television program.
Can you contact me? John Dunn
Guys all I can say is who needs Bugle or any other magazines to look at awesome pictures.
Hi ... you are so creative .I like your works so much....I am an artist from Udaipur , India.i paint on canvas, paper etc .. I hope we can be good friends ....
what more can i say .. except keep-smiling ..
Hi Dona ... I believe I saw a photo of some finches and I think you took the photo. It shows small birds floating near some icicles. Anyway.......I am an artist myself and I wanted to know if you would let me use the photos as a "starting point" for an installation I am working on for a small public gallery exhibition here in western Canada. (The Nanaimo art gallery BC., I live in Victoria, BC)
I just love the birds in your photo. I am not sure how I would manipulate the images but my plan is to at least make them animated or flutter and project onto hanging shards of glass.
The installation is about my experience in the Ameriyah bomb shelter in Baghdad, Iraq. The bomb shelter had thick concrete and steel..... but a missile had sliced through into the interior leaving a large clean hole where light shone into the darkness inside. Tiny finch like birds were flying around inside the warm beam of light. It was such a gentle contrast to the horrific blast and agony inside. I will never forget it and that is why I present these installations.
Could you give me permission to use the images in some way.......
Dona, my dream is to come out and photograph with you some time. I will always be one of your biggest fans! I keep telling Brent to plan a hunting trip near you so I can visit you while he hunts. I'm getting too old to keep up with him on his hunts, as much as I wish I could! I did photograph him and Jimmy several years ago when we were on an elk hunt. It was fun obtaining photo's of them hunting in beautiful Colorado!
Hello Dona and Ron...Your pictures are awesome!! We really enjoyed the wild horses!
Hello Ron & Donna:
I dropped camped with you all for 12 years but it's been 10 years since. Do you still rent cabins? I hope you are both doing well. I have wonderful memories of your place and the Flat Tops.
Great gallery!! Chris keeps me up to date on what's happening out there. Photos really make me want to get back out there. My son Jim is working at Harmel's Ranch in Gunnison this summer, doing what his dad always wanted to do!
I was wondering if the the guest lodge still has cabins to rent.I first went their in 1964 when I was nine.It was always so beautiful and we always had so much fun.The last
time we stayed at the lodge was proably about 12 years ago.I was wondering what the summer rates are now.
I am loving all your shots makes me want to come to Colorado.... See you on OLP
Ron and Donna, I hadn'checked your site for awhile and I think the pics are really good. It makes me want to get back out and go hunting again. I hadn't been there since my Grandson Brad had the brain tumor when he was six. He is now 21 and in the navy at Bremerton Wa. He was also selected to be on the National Navy Marksmanship Team and shot last april in Camp Pendleton Ca. His team came in second and he was the top shooter.
I will try to get back out with my Brother next year since Brad is going to the middle east in April next year. I will keep in touch and you all have a good hunting and holiday season/
Old army buddy, and I mean old.
A brilliant site. Well done to you all. I look forward to returning for more visits soon.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my site. I really enjoyed looking through yours, you have some really nice shots here. I will come back soon to see what is new. Take care,
Ron and Dona, I thought I would see what I could find on the Internet about Ron Hilkey. It turned out that I found this site and it has some very good pictures. How are you all doing and how is the hunting season going this year. I am presently living in Tn. and in the house in SC also. Our Grandson, Brad, who came with me to your place a long time back, 14 years ago, is in the Navy and is stationed in Bangor Wa., near Bremerton. I am going to come back out sometime I hope and see you again.

Wonderful nature galleries. They are educational and a pleasure to view.
I didn't know you created a site here on PBase, Dona. That is wonderful! Keep up the good work. Did you get a 500mm lens? I forget but I seem to remember you did.
