He did this at a full run.
Right off the edge of the cliff.
It reminded me of divorce.
Off the cliff you go.
You don't know where the water is.
Heck, you don't know anything.
It is all jumbled up.
Sure, it feels very freeing.
You fly through the air.
And for a moment, you are light again.
And then you hit the water.
Did you land on a rock?
Or is it just the bubbles rising.
And then you break the surface.
You draw in air again.
And that is where you discover it.
The jumps was not so far.
In fact, you are where you started.
But now you are wiser.
Now you understand.
You swim to the shore.
But the swim is now easy.
You are doing it for yourself.
You dry your skin in the breeze.
Take assessment of who you are.
And you walk home with pride.
Yep, just like divorce…
