Whoa!

Watch your step there.
You might slip and drop it.
What were you thinking?
That was a big chunk of a mortgage payment.
And yet it is in my hands now.
Yes, this is my first shot from my FOURTH D2Hs.
The first one was much loved.
Unfortunately it met a bad end.
The replacement, well just no (back it went).
The third? At the shop with Nikon AGAIN!
(will they ever return it?)
(SHOULD they return it, hunk of junk).
But this one just seems to fit right.
If I had squeezed I could have got it for $50 less.
Yet I am not even thinking of that part of it.
I'm not thinking of the wounds it has.
Not the scratches nor the scuffs.
It handles like a dream and it was what I wanted.
Strange that they have all felt so different to me.
Personally I like that this one is already broken in.
The one being repaired is almost pristine, but no fun.
(well pristine except that it is not working right ;-)
This one is a scrapper, and fits me like a glove.
It isn't perfect, and it is outdated.
Yet it makes me happy.
And does anything else really matter?
