Solemn Moments

Everything in Washington seems to line up.
No matter where you are it points to something.
Or there is something pointing towards you.
This is at the Vietnam Memorial.
I didn't notice the alignment during the day.
At night the Washington Monument sparkles.
I didn't check the Korean Memorial at night.
However, judging from its angle,
I bet it does the exact same thing.
All the soldiers probably fact this direction.
There are some aspects of the design I don't like.
The symbols embedded in the streets are a bit much.
However, from the ground level it is cool.
This night will live with me forever.
So many things went on to make it so.
There are too many aspects to describe.
I am just glad I took the time.
Glad I made the extra effort tonight.
