As seen in a sunrise

Every day the sun comes up.
Even when it can't be seen it rises.
As viewed from our world it seems to go away.
Every night it is not there.
And yet I know the sun burns all the time.
The sun is eternally optimistic.
All that happens is our world turns to face it.
Where I am standing is moving until it appears.
I keep moving and it seems to set.
Every time it happens I know it will be back.
That is one of the great things in life.
It is what makes us different from other animals.
We can think and understand our world.
Some of us do and unfortunately some of us don't.
Which side of that are you on?
Are you happy knowing the sun will rise again?
Or are you sad at the darkness around you?
Do you curse the gloom or anticipate the light?
Which one would you pick if it was as simple as a choice?
