The Drawer

SO many steps forward in life.
There can be big steps
There can be little steps
And sometimes the steps are just massive.
Sometimes they can take your breath away
Others can consume all the air from the room.
I always like the ones with abbreviation's (toy).
This one however has no cute name or letters.
It is a drawer with my things in it.
It is both frightening and thrilling.
Shocking to say the least of it.
But there it is right in front of us.
I could reach in and grab my things and run if I wanted.
I didn't because I like having them there for me.
The sweat pants on the right have a message on them.
I didn't fold them so it is not one from me.
It says "Remember its only a game" on them.
I sure hope that one is just a cigar because
I'm not playing a game with this drawer.

OK, why did I write it like that?
Why did I mention the whole "game" statement?
Because that is what I saw in this picture when I looked at it.
I read it right off the pants and started writing.
This has nothing to do with the spare toothbrush in the drawer.
It has EVERYTHING to do with toothpaste though.
"It's the choices we make that make us who we are".
No worries, I could not change it if I tried.
I do change sometimes on my own though.
If I try something I like, cinnamon for example
I might even try it again to see how I really like it.
The whole thought was fascinating to me though.
It was a huge metaphor for things I have done before.
It has gotten a lot of time in my head lately because you're right.
We should keep an eye out for things like that.
