Sittin on the dock of the bay

So here is the anniversary picture.
There are many anniversary pictures,
but this one is mine and mine alone.
I picked this one for so many reasons.
It was taken at the end of a great day.
I was waiting for the fireworks to start.
Obviously I was not the one who took it.
I think it is just fitting that way.
I gotta tell you that I am very happy today.
I also have to say that my divorce lawyer was right.
On the day of the divorce she said it would take 18 months.
She said that it just takes that long to feel good.
Well I am sitting at 16 months since she left.
And I will say that 16 months is pretty good ;-)
I'll just keep plugging away.

Again I just want to thank everyone who has helped me.
Everyone has been great with the advice and help.
That is what got me through it all.

And Karen, in case you read this on our anniversary
here is my little message for you.
It is short and sweet and meant only for you.
Everyone else look away now.

Much better without you.
You really were not all that good for me.
Life has taken on an easy quality without you.
Trips are better and home is better.
I want to thank you for leaving me.
I could not say that before just because of the pain.
You caused pain while you were here and when you left.
Looking back in retrospect though,
now that you are gone I am better for it.

Is it cold in here oe is it just me?
