Logging the miles on a D200

My D200 just logs them like crazy.
But it has miles to go to catch up to my D70.
This is the 55,350th picture out of the D70.
The D200 only has 24,874 shots so far.
Holy crap, that is over 80,000 pictures between them!
This was really just a snapshot to check the D70.
I only pulled it out because I wanted a light camera today.
To be honest I was almost surprised it fired one off.
My D70 would be considered "Well Worn".
It has a couple of gremlins floating inside.
Yes I do take the blame for the pavement introductions.
The first one took the built in flash with it.
The second almost killed it (never the same since).
I wish I could trust it to go to Disney.
It weighs about a third of the D200.
However the D200 fires every time I pull the trigger.
And that is something the 70 is not quite capable of anymore.
Do not take that as any kind of knock on the D70.
Take that as the fact that I dropped it on its head (twice!).
In time the D200 will go through the same thing.
Maybe it will be the D200 taking a picture of a D3.
When that time comes I will have the same feeling as I do now.
The D70 does not owe me a thing.
I got so much more value out of it than I paid for.
When I average the cost it is 1.4 cents per picture.
I won't knock that kind of value.
