100 times the man

I am 100 times the man that my father ever was.
I know that statement may offend some people.
However I am just stating honest facts.
It is funny that truth is always true.
Today makes exactly 34 years since he died.
It is a strange feeling to say it here.
It is stranger to know how much better a man I am.
Even with all my faults and foibles.
My idiosyncrasies and my oddness.
And yet, I know at my very core
that I am by far the better man.

PS: It did not take much effort to be the better man.
I'm probably actually closer to one thousand times the man.
Now I'm not one that believes in the afterlife.
However, if there is one and he is looking down at me...
Well I hope he is fearing the day that I get there.
