The mountains are truely spectacular and Pat this is exactly the right place to trace yor grandmother. My family have been landowners on the mountains for a few hundred years i know of. cheers Brendan Dooley

In doing research on the "Dooley" name, (my Grandmother's maiden name), I came across the mention of the Slieve Bloom Mountains as being a place where the Dooley families may have come from. I admired the picture of the neatly and tightly packed hay bales in the mown field. Tidy. And this group of riders on their horses is a great outtings for young people. I wish the photographer would add commentary on the screens.
