This is a former 27MHz generator final.
The original faceplate has been removed and is replaced by a new aluminum front chassis to get more chassis depth for mounting the parts for an allband ham amplifier.
Tube is a 3CX3000A7. Eventually a driver stage with 4CX600J will be included on a subchassis.

The early thoughts have been revised and a roller coil found cheap on a flea market is used instead of switched coils.
160-40m is Pi-L, higher bands are simple Pi.
All switching on the antenna coil is done by hv vacuum switches.
From 10Mhz on the coil is shorted out completely together with part of the roller coil.
The lower rf choke is shorted out by a hv relay as well then.
