There was a fire that swept through here a few months back.
The colors blended in with the fall colors but certainly gave it a different sense of place.

The black and gold border works very well here. I don't mind the foreground. I tried cropping it and burning it and I like the lighter tones of the foreground as they are. This image works very well and is one that most of us might have passed up without seeing it. R

There is something about this image that I like. However it's being spoiled for me by all those shiny leaves in the foreground. Perhaps a polarizer would have toned down those highlights and given a bit more saturation to the colors. Still, I like it.
