Death Valley March 2007

A few days in Death Valley. It was just starting to get hot; it made it up to 92 degrees one afternoon.
Less than the sizzling tempertures of August but spring's run off water was starting to disappear.
There were far, far fewer wild flowers than from our trip 2 years earlier.

Zane, thanks for pointing out this gallery, too! Glad I checked in before shutting things down for our trip.

Wonderful images again, and you have contributed a great deal to my view and understanding of the place. As a "first-timer," (even though I'm from California originally) I would be happy to come home with two or three images that show the insights that yours do.

What gorgeous photos! I found your albums while looking for photos of Patzcuaro where we hope to travel this December, then stumbled upon your Death Valley album. Your photos of the dunes capture all the magic I remember from our visit there last December. Wow!
