Tamarind Camp

The Tamarind Camp was a temporary tented camp located outside Taragire National Park in Tanzania. Called "temporary" because the tents are taken down and camps are closed during the rainy season, the camps are more basic (e.g. bucket showers rather than piped in water). We enjoyed temporary camps like this one and the one at Loliondo because we felt much closer to nature -- they tended to be smaller, more intimate, and because they didn't have boundaries or fences animals were more likely to wander through the camp grounds.
