Jao camp is located on a small island in the Okavango and surrounded by the flood waters. Its main activities are water-related mokoro (dugout canoe) rides and motor boat rides. However, we were also able to go on game drives and even did a walking safari. Jao's architectural and interior design give a whole new meaning to the word "camping"! The owners, Cathy and David Kays, hosted a wonderful sleepout under the stars for us. Don't miss the pictures of the sleepout to see how the staff at Jao defines "roughing it"!
