A note on the rhinos: As part of their conservation efforts, Wilderness Safaris, who manages the camps where we stayed, is in the process of reintroducing white rhino to the Mombo area. On one of our game drives, we visited the gang of 4 rhino in their bomas (holding pens). While we were there, a ranger drove up and unloaded a few bales of grass for their evening meal. The next day we were surprised to find the gang of 4 running around in the wild. They had been released just that morning and still must have associated vehicles with food since they nonchalantly sauntered up to our vehicle after spotting us from across a field!
