Here are some quick scans I just made of Tamron 300mm 2.8 SP-LD IF photos. This is a manual-focus model lens from the mid-1980's.Scans are only 2440 dpi from Minolta ScanDual,and the scanner's D-max is _only_ like 3.4. This is not a professional-grade film scanner. Most were of Kodachrome 64 originals,so keep that in mind when evaluating the action shots...ISO 64 is NOT all that fast,and forces you to shoot with the lens near wide-open much of the time in dimmer light.Many were shot with the lens' matched 1.4x tele-converter,and all were shot with a Nikon F3 from a tripod with a ball head set fairly loosely.
