The 300mm f/4 AF-S is a lens I often use for botanical photos,since it focuses so close, has pleasing bokeh generally in botanical type situations, and allows comfortable working distance and a very narrow angle of view. The metering in this shot was very good. Just point and shoot. Focus ascertainment was pretty easy,even with the lens stopped down to f/5.6 like it was here!
