Afternoon sidelighting is handled pretty well by the D2x here. I was actually a little bit under-exposed here at 1/4000 second, but I was trying to cover my focusing by going for DOF, and was allowing underexposure to boost my speed and to keep highlights safe. I really should have given greater shadow exposure on this shot, and dropped the speed down 2/3 stop and _Propbably_ have been a bit more pleaswed with maybe a twinge of motion blur on his arm,and certainly better exposure under the brim of his hat. I'm easily 2/3 stop underexposed on the original, and it cost me some image quality. This is a High-Speed Crop 3216x capture shot with the 400mm lens from the dugout.
