I am very impressed with the D2x's image quality in this photo,which is one of the first Nikon D2x photos that I've actually looked at very closely in PS. I have not done a thing to the original,just a crop,no USM,nothing. When you hack away 95 % of a frame and still get something like this, it's just amazing.
