This photo was taken in the middle of a test session I was conductiong on the Tokina 28-70 f/2.6~2.8 zoom lens on the day that I got it in trade. As I was checking out the lens late in the afternoon,I suddenly felt kind of tired. I decided to make myself a mini-sized French press worth of espresso, and as I poured the boiling water into the French press, I accidentally spilled some.I hurriedly picked up the camera, and as the water slowly ran toward the edge of the counter I took a few photos. I liked this one the best. I liked the way the late-afternoon window light glanced across the counter top,and how the area immediately underneath the window was darker, and gave me some fall-off of the available light. I think the lens did an adequate job at this range and focal length, and that it captured the scene very nicely.
