I have posted this Christmas-time 2007 photo many times on TPF. It's used to illustrate the technique of using Tungsten white balance on the camera, to get the Christmas lights correct, then using an orange-gelled speedlight in a small umbrella to light the subject, while shooting with a long lens at 200mm to magnify the size of the background lights, and at a wide aperture (f/2.8), and a slow speed, using VR. So it is flash + ambient + dragging shutter.
