I caught this fish using a 4 inch mother of pear Silver Horde salmon plug fitted with a single barbless VMC Siwash hook on its bead chain swivel, and some herring-scented blue sparkle Smelly Jelly on the rear, pointy part of the plug, and a bit applied to the large-sized charteuse Deep Six diving sinker. We had been fishing only a few minutes when this fish hit. I was trolling at 27 pulls (x28 inches),and had a 48-inch, 50 pound leader behind the diver.
