Very stirring sight (and sound) on the 65th Anniversary of the Dambuster Raid. I think I may have been a LITTLE overzealous arriving at the side of the hill 12 hours early , but I wanted to make sure I got a good view. As it happens no one else turned up there until after 6am on the day, so I needn't have slept in the car after all.
John , the "Old Plane" was meant as an endearment, to something that is as old as me and certainly in better overall condition :-)
Great shot Derek! Save you hanging around for 12 hours make a note in your diary:-
