Going through some old snaps I came across the negative for this shot that I had a wall poster made out of "back in the day" and had since never seen since tucked away with some other stuff.
Brought back a few memories. I am on the middle machine, a Z1000 and was running it in from brand new i.e. trying to keep the revs down to 6k IIRC. Gave me a decent cruise speed that enabled us to get to the Lake District from Burton on Trent in around 90 minutes of riding time, it is around 120 odd miles. Weather was typical wet nearly all the way but still had fun. At least were able to outrun the fashion police with our wet weather gear. :-)
