The first time I climbed Morven (up the direct route) I thought, I ain't going to make this, the second time I knew I would make it but said to myself never again. The third time and after a few months of working on fitness I returned with my wife and we did it together, she managed superbly considering it was only her second Corbett class hill. On this occasion at the top it was different from the previous times (as it is every time) but in my view the most spectacular. We stood pointing out all the surrounding hills we had already conquered, and with the exception of some of the high Cairngorm Mountains (not pictured here) we have done many. Our sense of achievement was high, we had our lunch and wobbled back down, shopping, home, all the things you need to do with five kids, feet up, bottle or two and fell asleep.
