My late father in law had an extensive, and sometimes weird,
collection of engravings covering all manner of subjects.
This one shows Mr Ramsay, an inventor from the Barnton area
of Edinburgh, demonstrating his equipment for anaesthetising horses!
The engraving is not dated but was the work of William Home Lizars
who died in 1859.
