There are so many statues in the centre of Edinburgh that I could
easily start a separate gallery for them. Might be a bit dreary though!
This sculpture is a memorial to 'scholar and theologian' Rev David Dickson,
a Scottish presbyterian minister who lived from 1780-1842.
He was obviously highly regarded in his day as he was chosen to conduct
the funeral of Sir Walter Scott in 1832.
