This is thought to be the last photograph of Abraham Lincoln taken
just four days before his assassination by John Wilkes Booth in 1865.
As the original negative 'plate' was accidently broken shortly afterwards,
the image was discarded and only very rarely seen in later years.
I scanned the damaged picture from a book a few days ago and repaired
it in Elements, adding an 'old paper' effect to make it look more authentic.
As Lincoln gave his famous Gettysburg address 150 years ago today it seemed
a perfect reason to use it here.
