AdvertisementNearly a year has passed since Steve Irwin died. His daughter Bindi has her own zoo, TV series, magazine column and fashion label. She's home-schooled, wears the trademark khaki clothes, lives at Australia Zoo much of the time, tours the world performing and has had crews filming her regularly since birth.

At nine, Bindi is an accomplished ambassador for nature and saleswoman for Australia Zoo and Irwin spin-offs. Her mother, Terri, insists she has friends her own age but does enjoy adult company.
The whole nation now takes an interest in Bindi's upbringing and various pundits have expressed concern that so many of her buddies have fur or scales and names like Bimbo, Prickle and Jub Jub.
But Bindi insists she's absolutely fine. "I just love this life so much!" she tells GOOD WEEKEND MAGAZINE. "I couldn't stand it if i was in an apartment with a goldfish!"
Yes, the exclamation marks are Bindi's. She shares the Irwin way of speaking.
