BINDI Irwin will celebrate her ninth birthday on Tuesday with a rock concert featuring the Veronicas.
Bindi's birthday bash will be held at Australia Zoo, with the child star at the centre of full-day celebrations that will include a concert and croc displays.
The Veronicas - Lisa and Jess Origliasso - were hand-picked by Steve Irwin as wildlife warriors before his death last year. The pop duo will perform for Bindi inside the Crocoseum at Australia Zoo.
Although Bindi is expected to share a private birthday celebration with her mum, Terri, and little brother, Bob, the public celebration on Tuesday is already shaping up as a major media event.
Invitations were sent out last week to a general photo call as part of Bindi's celebrations.
Children under 14 will be allowed into Australia Zoo free.
Despite criticism by some US commentators about her high-profile career, Bindi continues to live her life in the full public spotlight. She is about to launch her brand of children's clothing in the US.
Last week the Irwins came under fire from television reviewers in Australia for so-called macabre sections of Bindi:The Jungle Girl, in which Bindi narrates sections of film featuring her father.
But Terri Irwin has said Bindi would continue to film the series "because she loves it".
The family's long-time manager, John Stainton, last week revealed he is already considering a media career for Bob Irwin, aged 3.
