Nic’s award a sign of the slimes
Nicole Kidman was given the honour of being summarily “slimed” at the annual Kids Choice Awards in Los Angeles, and fellow AUSSIE BINDI IRWIN didn’t get off lightly either.

Kidman was drenched in the gooey green slime when she accepted an award for Happy Feet as favourite animated movie from actors Steve Carell and Tobey Maguire.

Host Justin Timberlake delivered on a promise to make this Kids Choice Awards the slimiest ever.

The show’s hallmark is the drenching of a celebrity in green slime, but this year hundreds of celebrities and audience members got the treatment.

The show closed with Vince Vaughn and Timberlake being soaked in slime and when the audience roared its approval, they pulled out fire hoses and sprayed hundreds of people in the audience, which included Irwin, Steven Spielberg, Jessica Alba, Queen Latifah and others.

Irwin, daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, also was a star on the red carpet, where she was with mum Terri.

She later presented an award to Timberlake for favourite male singer.

Other winners during the show, which included a 23-storey bungee jump into a giant vat of green slime, included Adam Sandler as favourite male movie star, Dakota Fanning as favourite female movie star and Ben Stiller as winner of the night’s top honour, the Wannabe Award, for the celebrity kids most want to be like.
