A story behind her Hodero, Talk about a life challenge, Her name Whitney Sue, an aspireing Prima Ballerina who was involved in an auto accident experiencing the same type injury that actor Christopher Reeves experienced (Broken Neck). She was in a car accident 3 days after (Photographer) Richard Calmes took this shot http://www.pbase.com/rcalmes/image/53659817 She broke 2 vertabrae-same as Christopher Reeves. She had to wear a halo device for 5 months. It was screwed into her skull. She could not shower or wash her hair for fear of infection. After the halo came off, she wore a collar for 3 weeks. She got the collar off on Monday. Her extreme strength and conditioning are the reason she was not paralized the doctors say. She wanted to take part in the shoot with the girls she has been so close to so Lisa (co-ordinater) put her in the pose you commented on. Richard calls the pose the "I'm back" look. (I call that pose stunning and it was created for her) She is very well known throughout the USA and Europe as one of the most promising young dancers. She was going to Juliard this fall. Now she has decided (wisely) to take the next year to get back in shape. She will attend Georgia State and go to class every day. You can see how beautiful she is. And she is a beautiful person!
