Dog survives date with death
Hankie alert. This is a tear jerker.
A Hillsborough County animal control officer found a horribly injured dog
Gator attack, he thought.
Nothing but bone remained on the female German shepherd's right front leg,
reports the St. Petersburg Times.
The dog gave the officer "the saddest, most pathetic look I have ever seen" and limped over to him. Then she rested her face on his thigh.
Ultimately, a vet amputated the leg and the pooch is recovering. The clinic workers named her "Bindi," after the daughter of the late "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin.
Bindi will go up for adoption if no one claims to own her.
We're betting once people see her sweet face a line will form....
This German shepherd mix nicknamed “Bindi” had a leg amputated.
