I'm wanting to try this project using this transistor 01A substitution to avoid the hazards of working with high voltages when "debugging" a newly acquired vintage radio and avoiding burning out expensive 01A tubes. Do you have any new designs to offer? I have two questions: 1) which bulb to use -- Mouser #: 560-2181 or is there a better bulb to use? 2) Which PR? Mouser #: 485-161 or GL5516 or GL5528 ?
