I just saw your post and didn't see any pics of you reinstalling the front bushing. Cant seem to find just a bronze bushing. Now they all seem to be a bushing/seal combination and are much longer. What did you use ? Thanks, Howard Wells

Great series!!
I worked on these as a kid in the mid 50s, but never had to replace more than a seal and "U" joint. Parts were plentiful at that time.

denny do you have any idea where i can get a front enclosed drive shaft bushing for my 1948 3/4 ton chevy truck .I have a tranny leak that goes along the front propellar shaft and exits at the support bracket. don't know if it is the bushing or just the seal that the shop manual discusses. know where I can get the seal? thanks much
