Turbo Charger

Each of Sentimental Journey's 1200-HP 9-Cylinder Pratt & Whitney radial engines is turbocharged for increased cylinder filling and power, especially at high altitudes. A Turbo charger uses exiting exhaust gasses to spin a small turbine that increases induction system pressure above atmospheric pressure, thereby increasing the amount of fuel and air flowing into the combustion chambers.
