Dragon (Falcon 9) - 8 Dec 2010
SpaceX's NASA demonstration flight went off without a hitch as the Falcon 9 rocket delivered the first functioning Dragon spacecraft to orbit.
The spacecraft made nearly 2 orbits of the planet and splashed down in the Pacific Ocean.
It was the first-ever re-entry from space made by a commercial spacecraft.
Photos taken from Port Canaveral - a distance of approx. 10 miles.
