Poland

Our Lady of Czestochowa aka The Black Madonna protected Poland during many invasions, and she was one of the symbols of the Solidarity Movement. I went on an August pilgrimage to her shrine with my cousin Stasia. We walked 140 miles over 9 days with 7,498 other pilgrims.
Poland is the land of my mothers family.

thanks for so many comment on my galleries.I found a good idea t ouse BW for poland,these photos are powerful,I enjoyed the gallery and voted for this one.My family was emigrated from poland last century.

thank you everyone for the comments. this was a very wonderful way to see some of Poland, traveling with a small village, there were 7,500 people on the pilgrimage broken up into 27 groups of about 250 each. It was very moving, annoying, fun and everything you'd expect with that many people. denise
