It was a long ride on the tour bus from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Leaving Phnom Penh in the morning, but when we arrived at Siem Reap, it was already dark. And, part of the ride was not that smooth. That's why some grand tours going to Asia only stop in Cambodia for one day, directly in and out of Siem Reap.

Siem Reap itself is the second important city of Cambodia as well as a resort area. But, most of the tourists who come here only care for the archaeological sites, Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat, particularly the latter (Angkor means city, Wat means temple). Among all the historical sites I've visited, I think this one is the most complete, also it's the largest religious monument in the world.

I did not go with the group to explore the main temple all the way to where the 5 lotus bud-shaped towers are, but stayed by the pond to photograph the temple instead. I was afraid I would miss the sunset. The best moment might last only one minute. Really, when my group came out, they just missed what I captured in the last photo.
