Prague (Praha), the capital of Czech Republic, is also situated on Vlatava River, and its extensive historical centre is on the very top part of the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The first time I went to Prague was 2001. At that time I did not get to appreciate the ancient architecture of Europe as much as I do now. After having travelled to a few European cities, I realized that I owed myself a revisit to Prague. I knew this time I would like it more. And I did.

My tour arrived in Prague in the early evening. It was only the end of April, but the streets were already full of tourists. As it was a little too dark for taking photos, I was nervously hoping that the next day the weather would be nice......I was lucky. The sky could not have been clearer. I skipped lunch and used the free time to photograph the gothic and baroque style architecture around the Old Town Square before the tour guide led us to the other side of the river to see the Prague Castle. Inside that area the main attraction is the St Vitus Cathedral.
