We travelled from Agra to Orccha by train, then to Khajuraho by tour bus, but it was changed back and forth. The night before we left Agra, our guide told us the train service might be cancelled because there was some political protest going on and people tried to block the railroad. However, in the morning, they said the train would be running normally. I must say I was impressed how fast and efficient those few workers were, loading and unloading more or less 40 suitcases at both train stations within a few minutes.
The 10 photos of Orchha were actually taken at a lunch break. Orchha was not a sightseeing stop on the itinerary. But, I got sick in Agra and dared not eat anything this day, so I left the restaurant and walked to take these shots in a rush, and returned before my group finished eating.
Khajuraho Group of Monuments is a group of temples built together between 950 and 1050, but were dedicated to two religions, Hinduism and Jainism. The temples are famous for their architecture as well as the erotic sculptures on some of them. In the last 4 photos, I believe the lady is a model or a dancer hired by some photographers to pose for them in one of the temples. I was already walking towards the bus to depart, but when I saw her red and green costume glittering in the sun, I couldn't help stopping and snapping a few shots of her movements from behind her.
