Most of the people in my group were eager to see this "Red City" Marrakech (Marrakesh). I was nervous about it, because there were more than a few snake charmers in the Main Square. People would even throw the fake snakes in your face for fun. Thanks to my tour guide, who thoughtfully steered me away from all of them.

Like Fez, the souk (shopping area) in the medina of Marrakech is attractive to the tourists. The architecture of the Imperial Kasbah and Bahia Palace was elegant, but to me it was kind of expected. The surprise of this city, to me, is the Majorelle Gardens. This place adds some extra colours to this lively city.
