This is the cellar vault within the Egyptian Museum located inside the Neues Museum. The space is characterized by arched brick ceilings and illuminated stone columns.
This vault dome was designed and built by Friedrich August Stüler, the original Prussian architect who designed and constructed the entire Neues Museum between 1841 and 1859.
It is part of the museum's "Archaeological Promenade", the official designation of the exhibition route, which will serve as an underground connecting passage linked with three other museums: the Altes (Old) Museum, the Pergamon Museum, and the Bode Museum.
